I have a secret confession to make, I always wanted to be a turntablist. Mainly because turntablist do some of the most incredible things with the equipment they have. Also it seems likes you can be a major dork and still be an awesome DJ. This works for me, because well…. I am a major dork. Recently the DMC 2009 Trailer leaked displaying footage from the world finals. I know most of us weren’t there so this is the next best thing. Enjoy the trailer and prepare for the DVD. Long live the DJ, even though every year they get nerdier and nerdier. Congrats DJ Shiftee, you are amazing, but you look exactly like A-Trak to me.

Birdy Nam Nam’s “The Parachute Ending” is a psychedelic romp into apocalyptic imagery, alien technology, and super weird plant growing magic. I normally wouldn’t even like music like this, but the video fills the music with so much meaning! I wish more music videos were this thoughtful! I would still watch MTV. I didn’t know who Birdy Nam Nam was before seeing this so I dug up some dirt and was surprised! Birdy Nam Nam are a DJ crew from France whose members are Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need, and Little Mike. They won the DMC Team Championships in 2002. So these guys are not chumps when it comes to DJing at all. Also, just to show how amazing Steve Scott and his crew are check out the extra clip included entitled Exos. These people have amazing animation, backdrop paintings, and characters. They are very good story tellers with a great fresh style to them. Check it out!
