    • ]]>     I stumbled across this video just cruising through the internet today and not only did it touch me personally but it caught me off guard. Every single part in this video was filmed in a different location. So this truly is a song that was recorded all over the world and all types of people contribute. This is what music was meant to be. To connect human beings across all language barriers and culture differences. What better song to do this with then Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me”. Maybe in this time of turmoil in the world we should consider the simple principle behind this video and contribute to others around the world to create something just as amazing. If it can be done with music it can be done with everything.

    “From the award-winning documentary, “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music”, comes the first of many “songs around the world” being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it traveled the globe.”

    I love that this dude just took his mobile set up and recorded them in all of these people’s respective homes, but outside to give it this amazing context that maybe we are all connected.
