So once again the Midweek Slump returns to lift people’s spirits! This week I am pulling out some hot new music that is spreading across the internet. I think it is always good to hear new artists, and styles all the time. It keeps our minds refreshed and open to new forms of music. Also, sometimes changing things up is what we need to stay fresh!

The Clipse’s “Popular Demand” (Feat. Cam’ron)(Prod. by Pharrell)
This week The Clipse dropped this track with Cam’ron. Also, the Neptunes own Pharrell is on the production. I have to say that I am really not a fan of any of these artists, but this song has made me think twice. This track slams so hard and should pick you out of your slump real quick and make your head bob. Give you a little exercise in that cubicle.

Fun’s “All The Pretty Girls”
I recently came across the power pop gods fun. The band features former members of The Format and Steel Train. I personally was never into this type of powerpop but this song left me wanting more. If this song can’t bring sunshine to your week then I am out of ideas. On a sidenote this sounds like Queen, which is totally awesome.

DJ Center’s “Tout Passe” (Feat. Samia Farah)
I had not heard of DJ Center before this week, but after hearing this one song I was in love. This song is a multitude of genres rolled into one. It gives you deep roots grooves, reggae, soul, jazz, and hip hop. On top of all of that Samia Farah is contributing some amazing vocals. Vibe out and relax to this joint.

The Middle East’s “Blood”
Yeah this song is really beautiful. It’s also really depressing. I had to put it in here because its so fun to listen to… but if you listen to the lyrics too closely it will take you out of your midweek slump and move you into a downward spiral of agony and pain. I’m just sayin. The little xylophone kinda makes it happier though.
