Miike Snow are two parts Bloodshy & Avant (Britney Spears, Madonna, Kylie Minogue), one part Mark Ronson protege, which makes they are able to kick your ass 3 different ways. Don’t forget that as you listen to their soft-heartfelt melodies. “Animal” by Miike Snow is an amazing blend of indie rock and calypso/reggae. This song is so unique stylistically, but in the end it becomes this beautiful anthem about the true side of humans. It seems to be about people knowing their faults, hiding them, and sometimes even running from them. The lyrics definitely caught my attention which happens rarely. I am a music guy and care little what most vocalists have to say, but this song made me think twice. Just read the hook!
