A new Flying Lotus track has been released from LA 3X3. “Infinitum” is an interesting track as it strays from Flying Lotus’ unique style of wonk-hop and is deconstructed and remixed to make a new beautiful arrangement. The simple melodies in this track are beautiful and will make you feel like you are in slow motion or floating into a dream. Pitchfork had some to say about this unique stand out track as well:
“Dimlite (nĂ© Dimitri Grimm), a downtempo specialist who records for Sonar Kollektiv, reimagines Los Angeles‘ spare vocal closer “Infinitum” as a haunted, buzzing atmospheric number, with heavy Sunn O)))-style guitars and asymmetrical drumbeats filling out the arrangement.” — Pitchfork
Here is a preview of the video for “Infinitum” down below. This looks very surreal. It also looks like they had quite a small budget but managed to use it to their advantage. Through editing and some beautiful camera work they have created the hints of an odd world filled with mythology. Very nicely done.
So cop the track for free, and also I found this really rare mix that Flying Lotus did for some event. It’s called The Black Fist Mix. It was a promotional item and contains tracks exclusive tracks from Flying Lotus, and tops out at 35 minutes of just Fly Lo insanity. Cop both and get in the mood for the future to arrive.

Also, as an extra bonus check out the video of Gaslamp Killer, Dorian Concept, and Flying Lotus just vibing out and getting a nice jam session in. This is exactly what I want to see producers doing. Jamming out at shows and uniting to something interesting live.
